The Genco Pura Olive Oil Company was a front company formed by Vito Corleone in the 1920s. It was named after his childhood friend and consigliere, Genco Abbandando. The company eventually grew to become the largest olive-oil importer in the United States. Vito Corleone and members of the Corleone family would hold meetings in the Genco Pura offices, including the meeting where Don Corleone rejected Virgil Sollozzo's offer to go into the drug business with him.
